New Deal Art Definition
New Deal Art refers to the funding of visual arts by the US Federal government between 1935 and 1943. The Federal Art Project was one among the New Deal projects introduced by President Rossevelt. The Art project aimed to provide relief to artists by engaging them to create murals, posters and other visual art works. Holger Cahill was the national director for the New Deal art program.
