American Indian Art Definition
The terms 'American Indian Art' refers to the artwork created by the aboriginal inhabitants of America. It simply means the art product by first Americans and their descendants. This art is also known as Indian Art or Native American art. The IAIA or the Institute of American Indian Arts is a fine arts institution in the U.S. that is devoted to contemporary Native American. The IAIA also promotes Alaska Native arts.
