Vanishing Point Definition
Vanishing point is a point where parallel lines/rays appear to converge or meet together. Often artists use one or more vanishing points to produce an illusionary effect of depth in a two-dimensional representation. They also use vanishing points to know the direction of receding lines. However, vanishing points are just points of reference and artists may choose to remove them prior to the completion of a picture.
