Point Definition
A point means the end or a location. In art, point is an instrument used by a sculptor to dress up a stone carving. It is used to give a structure and shape to a stone carving to give finishing. Stone carvings are hammered vertically with force to puncture the surface of stone thereby making a large circle forcing it to break. These are not always used to break the surface, instead it can softly be hammered to the surface to give a good look. Point in typography means a small unit.
