Salon D Apollon Definition
Salon d'Apollon refers to the official arts exhibition held annually in France between 1667 and 1870. The French government sponsored Salon D’Apollon. It is also known as Salon or Paris Salon. The exhibition gained paramount importance in the 19th century. However, its fame began to decline by 1870.
