Salopian Definition
When used in the context of antiques, the term Salopian refers to porcelain pieces made by the England based Caughley factory between 1772 and 1799. The traditional Salopian pieces were mainly blue and white in color. It also included colored decorations. In the late nineteenth century, the company produced tableware decorated using different colors.
