Rosemeade Definition
Rosemeade pottery also known as Wahpeton Pottery Company was operated by Laura A. Taylor and her husband, R.I. Hughes from 1940 to 1961.  Although Rosemeade pottery designs mainly reflected natural flora and fauna, it also produced souvenirs, human forms, functional items and advertising pieces.
Majority of the Rosemeade pottery was cast in molds and later hand painted. The pottery came with an impressed mark or an ink stamp of the company name in black or blue lettering on the bottom to distinguish the pottery from replica.
