Rose Canton Definition
Rose Canton, in the context of antiques, means Chinese ceramic ware that were made during the 18th to 20th century period. Rose Canton ceramic wares were mainly decorated using floral patterns with insects and birds included in the design. Pink and green color was mainly seen used in the patterns. However, Rose Cantons were also found including floral designs in gaudy colors. Collectors often search for Rose Canton ceramic wares such as pitchers, bowls, vases, and plates.
