Jewish Art Definition
Jewish art refers to the art produced by Jews. The prominent symbols of Jewish art include mizrach, placed on the eastern wall of the house to point the direction to pray and menorah, the seven branched lamp used in synagogues. The floors of most synagogues have mosaics, following the Graeco-Roman tradition. The allegorized image of River Nile also appear in Jewish art.
