Darkroom Definition
The term darkroom refers to a room which is completely darkened or lit with a particular kind of red light for making, handling, or developing photographs. The room is also used for processing photographic film and photographic paper. The inception of darkroom occurred along with the inception of photography during the nineteenth century. But today there has been drastic decrease in the use of darkrooms due to the widespread use of color photography, printing color photographs, Polaroid technology and digital photography.
