Cramp Definition
Cramp is a metallic device used in architectural construction which is shaped like the alphabet ‘ G’. It is used for holding stones together. A cramp is also called a cramp iron, a metal plate with its ends bent at right angles usually, used for holding pieces of wood or masonry together. It helps in clamping two objects which may or may not be glued. The movable part of the cramp can be screwed up to secure the object between the flat end of the screw and the frame. It is also known as a clamp.
