Ancient Definition
The term ‘ancient’ means aged or very old. More particularly, it often refers to anything of the ages prior to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476CE. When used in the context of art, the term may be used to refer to old fashioned art work or art forms, cultures of the old age, or artist who lived in the ancient times.
