Viewing Stones Definition
Viewing Stones are natural stones that are capable to fascinate a person by grabbing his or her imagination. Viewing Stone is also known as Scholars’ stone or Suiseki. Traditionally, these stones were appreciated by the Chinese. They generally resemble any object or landscape.  However, stones in abstract form are also seen. Viewing Stones are usually chosen by taking into account, a stone’s color, general appeal, shape, and texture. Viewing stones are displayed using a wooden base or ceramic tray. This art form embarked centuries ago from China. Gradually, this art form spread to Japan and Korea and is currently grabbing attraction world-wide. The size of a viewing stone is indefinite which varies from less than an inch to very big stones. These stones are shaped by natural phenomenon, for example, natural erosion.
