Venetian Glass Definition
Venetian Glass is a fine, colored, and ornamented glassware designed in Venice, Italy. It is mainly designed in the island of Murano. It is seen made in Italy as early as the 13th century. It is popular worldwide as it is designed in a colorful, elaborate, and skillful way. Venetian glassware is found in a wide range of colors and shapes and come with decorative designs. During the sixteenth century, the Venetian artists had acquired larger control over the color and transparency of the glass. Collectors search for figurines, plates, cups, goblets, jewelry, vases, and chandeliers made of Venetian glass. Even today firms make Venetian glasses in traditional designs. Modern designs are also used.
