In the context of antiques, Riviera refers to the dinnerware made by Homer Laughlin Co. of Newell, West Virginia. The square cups and plated of Riviera pattern were in production for almost 10 years between 1938 and 1950. The pieces were chiefly green, mauve, red and yellow and at times cobalt and turquoise.
