Cyclopean Definition
The term Cyclopean comes from the Greek classical myth relating to the Cyclops. Cyclopean means gigantic or massive. According to Greek mythology, Cyclopes were believed to have the strength to move gigantic and massive boulders. They were the inventors of masonry towers.  Cyclopean architecture is a type of construction in which large irregular stones are arranged adjacent to each other without using mortar.  Cyclopean masonry is a kind of stonework found in Mycenaean architecture. This architecture is seen in Mycenae and Tiryns walls.
