Colonnade Definition
Colonnade refers to a row of columns joined by an entablature on the top. It may be used as a covered walk way or may form part of the building, like a portico. Colonnade were a regular feature of ancient Roman and Greek temple architecture. The colonnade in St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome is an example of neo classical colonnade.
