Classical Orders Definition
Classical Order is a term seen used in architectural designs. Classical orders are architectural designing principles/rules or the approach followed to design buildings during the Classic period (~ 850 BC-476 AD). These orders were developed in Greece and Roman. Classical orders included 5 designing styles for columns. Three of them, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian, were developed in Greece and later adopted by Romans. The remaining two, Tuscan and Composite, were developed in Rome. The Classical Orders have specific features and characters. This style is seen used in ancient public buildings and temples.
