Cauldon Definition
Cauldon, in the context of antiques, is seen used to refer to porcelain that was produced by John Ridgway and his successors. John Ridgway produced the potteries at Cauldon Place until 1855. After that the firm of John Ridgway continued production until 1859. The company then underwent many changes. It was around 1890, that the words Cauldon or Cauldon Ware were used as a part of the mark. We can see different types of potteries in various colors and designs under Cauldon potteries. The most commonly seen wares are dinner sets and vases.
