Cathedral Definition
A cathedral is the main church of an episcopate, or diocese. This Christian church contains the bishop's chair. Ancient cathedrals are widely known, both locally and nationally, for their architecture and artistic works. Cathedrals are considered major artistic investment for the city in which they are located because a good amount of time, in some cases centuries, was spent to contruct and decorate them. Cathedral buildings are famous for their architecture. And many articles inside the cathedral are known for their artistic value and historical importance. We can often see age-old stained glasses, paintings, wood and stone carvings, wood statues and furnitures,  historic tombs, and other art work in a cathedral.
