Carbon Dioxide Definition
Carbon dioxide is an inert gas having no color, odor, and taste. It is used by plants during photosynthesis. The gas is produced as a result of respiration in organisms and by the decomposition of organic compounds. It is present in air naturally and is widely used in carbonated drinks and fire extinguishers etc. However, this gas becomes toxic if inhaled in very huge quantities.
