Manganese Dioxide is a grey white metal with atomic number 25. Manganese dioxide has been in use from prehistoric times. It is one of the minerals and pigments found in cave paintings of prehistoric times. The ancient Egyptians and Romans used manganese to add or remove color from glass ware. Manganese Dioxide is used in ceramics to produce various colors.
