Blend Definition
Blending is the process of mixing of different colors or materials in artwork so to smooth or blur the edges of a feature. After the process, one color or material should not be readily distinguishable from another. The blending process is meant to create a homogeneous mixture. In computer graphics, this technique is known as “feathering.”
