Typewriter Definition
As an antique, Typewriter collectors usually collect index machine and the keyboard machine. The index machine has a pointer and a dial to select letters. The keyboard machine is the one usually seen today. In 1874, Sholes and Glidden made the first commercially successful typewriter. It could only type in CAPS and used the QWERTY keyboard. We still continue to use QWERTY keyboards.
