Titanium Definition
Titanium is a solid metal (and atomic number 22 with symbol Ti) that appears in a silvery-grey-white metallic color. Though low in density, it is high in strength and is resistant to corrosion, even when in contact with sea water, aqua regia and chlorine. Titanium metal and its alloys oxidize immediately upon exposure to air. Nitrogen acts similarly to give a coating of the nitride. Titanium is to create jewelry and watch cases. Anodized titanium is used for dyeing and painting. Hand-painted artwork in objects is done using anodized titanium . Also, fine art and functional objects are made from titanium.
