Tin Definition
Tin is a metal (atomic number 50 with symbol Sn) that is malleable and resistant to rust. It is silvery grey in color and is used in alloys such as bronze and pewter. When lead is used for sculpture, tin is used as an alloy. Tin is also used for common solders.
When a tin plate is painted, enameled or lacquered it is referred as tole. This is used to make decorative domestic objects.
