Synesthesia Definition
Synesthesia refers to the condition of perceiving mixed sensations. When a stimulus applied to one sensory modality brings a stimulus or effect on another, it is termed as Synesthesia. For example, a person experiencing Synesthesia may sense a color when a sound is heard. Such a person is known as synesthete.  David Hockney, Wassily Kandinsky and Vladimir Nabokov are among artists considered to be synesthete.
