Solander Box Definition
Solander box is a case in the form of book usually made of wood. It is used to keep papers, manuscripts and documents safe. Solander box is also used to hold botanical specimens. The box is named after Daniel Solander, a Swedish Botanist who invented it during his tenure in the British Museum (1773- 1782).
