Sascha Brastoff Definition
Samuel Brostofsky aka Sascha Brastoff was an American designer who made ceramic potteries, decorative accessories, metal and ceramic sculpture, and other enameling art work. He was best known for his ceramic work. The term ‘Sascha Bastroff’ is generally seen used in relation to the ceramic potteries and art work of Sascha Brastoff. He headed the Los Angeles based factory, Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc. The company produced potteries and decorative pieces. The pieces that Sascha Brastoff worked himself are signed ‘Sascha Brastoff.’ We can also see Sascha Brastoff potteries marked ‘Sascha B.’ or with a stamped mark, these pieces were made by others in his company. Sascha Brastoff pottery was one among the most trendy and famous potteries of the mid 90’s.
