Royal Crown Derby Definition
The Royal Crown Derby is one of the oldest English porcelain manufacturers. The company was originally known as ‘Derby Porcelain’. Later, in 1773, it came to be known as ‘Crown Derby’. In 1890, the word ‘Royal’ was added when Queen Victoria, by a royal warrant made the company, ‘The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company’. In terms of antique, Royal Crown Derby china and tableware are popular.
