Radford Definition
In the context of Antique, the term Radford is associated with pottery. Radford pottery has its name from its maker, Alfred Radford, who was a business manager at Zanesville Art Pottery before he started Radford Pottery. It was made in Broadway, Virginia; Tiffin and Zanesville, Ohio; and Clarksburg, West Virginia, from 1891 until 1912. The types of ware made by Radford pottery included Jasperware, Ruko, Thera, Radura, and Velvety Art Ware. The jasperware looked a lot like the famous Wedgwood ware of the same name.
