Pseudorealistic Stage Definition
The term Pseudorealistic Stage refers to the fifth and last stage of Victor Lowenfeld's 5 stages of Creative Development in children's' art development. Pseudorealistic Stage of artistic development in a child usually occurs during the ages of 11 to 13. This stage follows the dawning realism stage (9-11). During Pseudorealistic Stage which is a period of early adolescence, there occurs a transition from childhood period of no inhibitions to a stage of critical awareness of adulthood.
