Longtitudinal Stage Definition
Longtitudinal Stage is the sub stage of artistic development per Victor Lowenfield. It is the second sub stage of the first stage – scribble. The stage refers to the artistic development in children between 2 and 4 years. The child is aware of kinesthetic movements in this stage and enjoys it. Repetitions of motions which are controlled is the feature of longitudinal stage.
