Orichalcum Definition
The word Orichalcum is derived from the Greek words 'oros' and 'chalkos' which means mountain and brass respectively. Orichalcum is a metal that resembles gold. It is an alloy of copper and zinc and is a yellow coloured bronze. The two coins made by Romans namely the sestertius and the dupondius were made of orichalcum. This is a metal which is mentioned in many ancient inscriptions as it was found during ancient times in many parts of Atlantis.
