Mulberry Definition
Mulberry, in the context of antiques, refers to the pottery made in Staffordshire, England (1850 -1860). The reddish brown transfer designs on the dishes came to be known as mulberry. Apart from the mulberry design, the wares had flow blue designs also. Landscapes, flowers and motifs appear in the Mulberry ware. The ware includes bowls, coffeepots, compotes and creamers.
