Mold Blown Glass Definition
Mold-blown glass was widely used between 1820 and 1840. The glass, as the name suggests was made by blowing air through a blow pipe inserted into molten glass. The inflated glass took on the shape of the mold. The designs lacked sharp edges and are often soft. Mold-blown glass items include bowls, compote, cordials, creamers and decanters.
