Impressionism Definition
The term Impressionism refers to an art movement and style of painting which was developed in France during the 1870s. The prominent painters of the style were Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, and Sisley. The artists of the style used light effects to portray whether, time and other details. They made use of unmixed primary colours and small strokes to achieve the visual effect.
