Image Capture refers to the process where an electronic device such as a scanner is used for creating a digital representation of an image. The image obtained can be stored in a computer for further editing or manipulation. The term also refers to software application developed by Apple Inc. for uploading pictures from digital cameras or scanners directly to the computer or network.
