Haviland Definition
Haviland china was made in Limoges, France since 1842. It was founded by David Haviland and Daniel Haviland. They designed porcelain tableware and traded it. In 1938, they established D.G. and D. Haviland Co. in New York and imported tableware from France. The pieces contained marks ‘H & Co.’, ‘Haviland & Co.’, or ‘Theodore Haviland.’
