Divisionism Definition
Divisionism is a method of neo-impressionist painting created with tiny colored dots placing next to the other according to some basic color theories. It is also called as Chromoluminarism and referred as an approach of modern art. This was introduced by Georges Seurat in 1884.The surface elements in divisionism are usually white in color for attracting the viewers' vision. A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte and Bathers at Asnieres are paintings that are examples of French Divisionism.
