Distemper Definition
Distemper is a type of paint soluble in water, widely used in the ancient times for decorating the indoor walls. It is made of water, chalk and, pigment with egg-yolk or glue as a binding element. The paint is strong and thin in nature and used for the temporary and interior decorations of residential buildings. It was an early type of whitewash and sometimes used in the artistic paintings. Distemper can be made without much expense and almost any color can be obtained.
