Dikka Definition
In the context of Muslim Architecture, Dikka refers to a platform, usually made of wood, on which the Imam stands and recites the Koran and intones the prayers. The dikka is placed at the end of the sanctuary in large mosques. The dikka and mirhab are usually on the same axis.
