Censorship Definition
Censorship is referred to the act of cleaning or expurgating. It is a process by which examination is done to remove obscene, sensitive, harmful, politically incorrect or objectionable material. A person who examines to remove such objectionable materials is known as a Censor. To censor means to conduct such examination and remove such material. Individuals, private organizations or government may involve in censorship. Art censorship involves altering, silencing or even erasing unacceptable contents to avoid religious, social or political motivation.
