Bread Plate Definition
Bread plates are one of the smaller plates under dishware category. Their diameter is about five to six inches and is commonly used to serve bread and butter. So they are also called butter plates. Usually bread plates are used for serving breakfast with a butter knife or when served for dinner, it can be placed on the upper left side of a dinner plate.
