Baseball Definition
The term Baseball refers to a bat-and-ball game, and since 19th century, Baseball was widely recognized as the national sport of the United States. In the context of antiques, several objects used in the play of Baseball are of interest to collectors. Among Baseball collectibles Baseball cards are being widely collected today. The earliest cards which came in cabinet card size and the commercial baseball cards which were introduced in late 1860s are among the collectibles. Cards from famous games like the World Series are much in demand. Gloves, statuettes, plaques, posters, and pins are other popular collectible items. There is great market for genuine baseball memorabilia related to great players which are signed baseballs, bats, gloves, photos, and other autographs.
