Popeye Definition
Popeye is a comic fictional character developed by Elzie Crisler Segar through television media. Popeye was characterized as a sailor man who holds a pipe and eats spinach to invigorate himself to fight for his girlfriend. This comic strip appeared in animated series and was a popular television show that aired during 1950s. This series grabbed the attention of kids and later many kids’ stuffs like games, puzzles and clothing came with images of Popeye which attracted children.
