Palette Definition
Palette is a thin board or slab that an artist uses to mix paints. We can see palettes made of wood, marble, paper, plastic, or any other material. While we can use any slab as a palette, the ones that are commercially available generally includes a thumb sized hole which helps the artist to hold the palette while painting. The term may also be used to refer to a range of colors used for an art work or used by an artist. In computer graphics, the term may be used to refer to a selection of color/ the color look up table.
