Mesolithic Definition
Mesolithic, or middle Stone Age, refers to the period between Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. Small bladed stone tools and weapons are characteristics of Mesolithic age. Human settlements and farming began in this period. The rock paintings of Mesolithic Age are still found in Levant in eastern Spain. The paintings mostly had human groupings. The Mesolithic pottery was mainly utilitarian.
