Medal Definition
Medal is a flat piece of metal with an impression or design stamped on it. Medal are usually presented to commemorate an even or as an honor. It is usually disk shaped, but also appears in the form of star, cross or other shapes. The side of the medal bearing the impression is called obverse and the other side is reverse.
