Match Holders Definition
Match holders were used to hold long wooden matches. It was popular in the 18th and 19th century. Match holders were designed to be hung on the wall or kept on a table top and were a common item in the kitchen and near the fire place. They were made in different sizes and patterns. Antique match holders are a popular collectible item.
